About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer – Mechanical Heavy‑Duty Gas Turbine you will advise and counsel on predefined maintenance activities, which may include testing, adjustment, programming and other services coordinated with the Headquarters Technical Assistance team. The role focuses on mechanical aspects of heavy‑duty gas turbines and their auxiliaries. You will conduct mechanical inspections such as CI, HGPI and MI, plan and schedule maintenance with customers, troubleshoot technical queries in partnership with support teams, and lead discussions on mechanical NICs/TILs through to completion. Additionally, you will maintain documented histories of mechanical modifications, prepare quality field service reports, support end‑users with diagnostics counseling, and perform geometric dimensional checks, leveling and alignment of foundations and skids. You will also manage new unit erection, installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of turbines and associated systems, and provide drawing interpretation for installation optimization. • Perform mechanical inspections (CI, HGPI, MI) on heavy‑duty gas turbines and auxiliaries. • Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with customers. • Troubleshoot technical issues and address queries in collaboration with support teams. • Lead discussions on mechanical NICs/TILs and ensure follow‑up to completion. • Document all mechanical modifications and produce quality field service reports. • Provide diagnostics counseling and support to operation & maintenance staff. • Conduct geometric dimensional checks, leveling, and alignment of foundations and skids. • Execute erection, installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning of turbines and related systems. • Interpret engineering drawings to optimize installation processes. • Perform major inspections and overhauls on HDGT models (e.g., FR5/2, FR6B, FR7E, FR9E). • Conduct laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers with a partnership‑focused mindset. • Maintain high customer centricity and a solution‑oriented approach in all interactions. • Offer flexible working patterns to accommodate individual preferences.

What You Bring
To succeed, you need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least seven years of experience in oil & gas, power, refinery or turbomachinery industries. You must be capable of major inspections and overhauls on HDGT models (e.g., FR5/2, FR6B, FR7E, FR9E), and proficient in laser alignments and borescope inspections. The role requires strong active‑listening, structured thinking, a growth mindset, solution‑orientation and high customer centricity when collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers.
