About the Role

The Maintenance Technician role supports an affordable‑housing community by assisting with all aspects of property maintenance, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic tasks. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the technician also handles the make‑ready process to align with the property’s operational objectives. • Attend site daily and promptly respond to resident and management work orders for common areas, buildings, and units. • Perform corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance, including swimming pool care and chemical logging. • Conduct daily inspections of grounds, buildings, and amenities to identify and correct hazardous conditions. • Maintain a well‑organized, stocked maintenance shop while adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines. • Assist with scheduling, execution, and documentation of make‑ready and unit turn events. • Participate in on‑call emergency response and provide after‑hours service as required. • Keep accurate records of service requests, preventive maintenance, EPA/OSHA compliance, and make‑ready status. • Support the Maintenance Supervisor with inventory monitoring and hazard communication programs. • Deliver excellent customer service, monitor request turnaround times, and consistently enforce community policies. • Help with general upkeep and cleaning of office spaces, common areas, and model units.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and an understanding of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. The position demands physical stamina, including climbing ladders, lifting 100+ lb objects, working in confined spaces, and being on‑call for emergencies, with the ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours as needed.
