About the Role

The EPC Project Manager position is a full‑time, onsite role based in Cleburne, TX, responsible for overseeing all phases of utility‑scale solar projects, from planning and budgeting to risk management and project controls. The manager provides both leadership and technical expertise to internal teams and external partners, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Extensive travel, including remote job‑site assignments, is required. • Plan, execute, and manage large self‑performed scopes with sizable labor crews. • Develop sequencing, crew sizes, productivity goals and monitor monthly labor spend. • Track actual results, adjust forecasts, and refine production plans. • Create and implement safety plans with the superintendent. • Oversee project billing to maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles. • Prioritize collection of aged receivables and review status in owner meetings. • Present and negotiate change orders with owners for timely resolution. • Negotiate cost‑effective subcontract and material purchases. • Implement job procedures for timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery. • Keep projects on schedule and provide accurate cost forecasting to management. • Manage, train, and mentor project team members, fostering professional growth. • Ensure contract compliance and supervise documentation of significant events. • Direct preconstruction services and issue subcontract bid packages. • Evaluate project risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage risk severity. • Maintain quality control through a Site‑Specific Quality Management Plan. • Avoid or mitigate claims and resolve conflicts. • Complete job close‑out procedures and conduct warranty follow‑up. • Develop strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors. • Coordinate material deliveries and address supply‑chain challenges. • Negotiate and manage contract labor resources on competitive terms. • Lead regular meetings with owners and key project partners. • Deliver accurate proposal schedules based on project variables and lessons learned. • Resolve disputed project claims promptly through effective schedule management. • Cultivate a strong scheduling culture across the operations team through training.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture (preferred). • 5‑8 years of field construction management experience with supervisory duties. • Proven leadership ability to unite diverse team members in remote settings. • Proficiency with MS Office and industry tools such as Bluebeam Revu; CMiC a plus. • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting. • Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating systems. • Expertise in utility‑scale PV plant construction methods and sequencing. • Knowledge of utility and ISO interconnection processes and timelines. • Ability to travel extensively (minimum 50%) and work on remote job sites. • Excellent organizational, communication, and people skills.
