About the Role
The Lead Software Engineer provides technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to deliver high‑quality software applications that align business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints. The role designs and oversees software architecture, contributes to coding and testing, ensures solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable, and manages a team of up to five staff members and external partners to advance Constellation’s digital strategy. The engineer operates with a high level of independence, making sound decisions in familiar and novel situations while contributing to strategic planning and sharing best practices to support team growth. • Lead and manage the full software development lifecycle for new products, from requirements to deployment. • Provide technical oversight ensuring adherence to internal coding standards, SDLC methodologies, and production of secure, scalable code. • Collaborate with business, technical, and architecture stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals and enterprise standards. • Optimize team performance and workflows to improve collaboration, efficiency, and delivery outcomes. • Stay current with emerging tools and trends, recommending improvements to development processes and DevOps practices. • Manage, mentor, and develop a software team of up to five engineers, overseeing hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a diverse culture.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) with 8‑10 years of application development experience. • Demonstrate strong expertise in C#.NET, Angular, CX/UX, REST APIs, Postman, Selenium, and Azure cloud‑native development. • Possess deep knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and digital product development. • Exhibit excellent analytical, problem‑solving, leadership, and communication skills across all organizational levels. • Preferred: Experience leading data product or platform teams and designing Azure‑based data architectures (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Power BI). • Preferred: Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and partner with analytics and architecture stakeholders in an Agile environment.
