About the Role
Assist in the planning, layout, and performance of all pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skill level when requested by project supervision. Follow direction from higher‑skilled workers or foremen. Maintain positive working relationships with crew members while consistently delivering high‑quality work safely and productively. Provide feedback to ensure that materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for tasks. Seek opportunities to improve methods, reduce waste, and learn from others, including understanding safety hazards and proper tool usage. Apply effective math skills and ask supervisors for clarification when safety is uncertain. Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, including climbing and balancing on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Frequently lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb and use hands for grasping, handling, and carrying items. Must comply with all safety standards, wear required personal protective equipment, and be able to reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, or bend as needed. Ability to navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven areas is required. • Assist in planning, layout, and execution of pipe fitting and fabrication per specifications. • Perform craft work as needed and follow directions from foremen or skilled workers. • Maintain positive crew relationships and produce high‑quality, safe work. • Ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment, and information. • Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste and enhance methods. • Learn and adhere to safety hazards and proper tool usage. • Apply effective math skills for calculations. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Promote diversity and inclusion as part of Sundt’s equal opportunity policy.

What You Bring
Require one to two years of experience in industrial or commercial construction with a general understanding of the craft. Preference is given to candidates with NCCER Core Curriculum certification or a high school diploma or equivalent. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. • Bring 1–2 years of industrial/commercial construction experience. • Hold NCCER Core Curriculum certification or high school diploma (preferred). • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Climb, balance on scaffolding, ladders, and frameworks; lift/push/pull up to 50 lb.
