About the Role

The Bridge Design Coordinator/EIT role contributes to HDR’s mission by applying structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge projects, including steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, cable‑stayed bridges, box culverts, and highway or railway interchanges. The position supports structural load calculations, geometric layout, quantity development, and bridge inspections while using specialized software. • Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge projects. • Perform structural load calculations, geometric layout, and quantity take‑offs. • Develop detailed bridge models using software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, CSiBridge, or SAP2000. • Participate in bridge inspections and support design documentation. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate design intent clearly.

What You Bring

• Hold a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred) and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or plan to obtain one. • Demonstrate experience with bridge/structural design and software tools (e.g., FB‑MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MathCAD, AutoCAD, LARSA). • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, OpenBridge Modeler, InfraWorks, or Civil3D. • Show strong computer skills for structural layout, design, and quantity development. • Exhibit good communication, teamwork, and commitment to HDR’s inclusive, employee‑owned culture.
