Electrical Shift Engineer
Perform electrical maintenance & emergency response on critical building systems in 12‑hr shifts.

About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance and reactive work on building plant, equipment and systems, ensuring service level agreements are met. They will also respond to engineering emergencies and carry out minor installation tasks in line with client change‑management procedures and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include routine maintenance of all plant, responding to Building Management System alarms, managing Permit‑to‑Work documentation, and keeping detailed maintenance records. The role requires oversight of critical cooling water and domestic systems to L8 standards, availability of spare parts, adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and supervision of subcontractors. Additionally, the engineer will maintain strong relationships with Integral and client staff, uphold health and safety standards, provide shift cover, and support annual building shutdowns. • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on building plant, equipment, and systems. • Respond to Building Management System alarms and execute emergency repairs. • Manage Permit‑to‑Work processes and maintain accurate logbooks and task records. • Ensure critical cooling water and domestic systems comply with L8 standards and have required spares. • Follow Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SOPs and EOPs to guarantee safe work practices. • Supervise and escort engineering subcontractors, ensuring contractual and safety compliance. • Provide shift cover, support annual building shutdowns, and maintain strong client relationships.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least five years of experience working in critical environments such as banking headquarters or data centres, together with relevant electrical qualifications including C&G Part 1 & 2, the 18th Edition IEE (or ability to attain it), and BS 7671 certification. An LV Authorised Person credential is advantageous. Strong communication, IT proficiency (especially Microsoft Office and reporting tools), and the ability to work calmly under pressure are also essential. • Minimum 5 years experience in critical environments (banking HQ, data centres) with relevant electrical qualifications (C&G Part 1 & 2, 18th Edition IEE, BS 7671). • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and report writing; strong communication skills.
