About the Role

In this position you will design and develop battery and charger control systems, create and optimize control algorithms, and lead testing and integration to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. You will work closely with engineers from electrical, mechanical, software, and other disciplines to integrate and optimize complete electrical solutions for mining applications. • Design and develop battery and charger control systems for mining equipment. • Create and optimize control algorithms to improve system efficiency, performance, and reliability. • Lead testing, integration, and validation of battery control systems against safety and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams to integrate electrical, mechanical, and software components. • Develop harness designs, sensor integration, and high‑voltage system layouts using CAD tools such as E3 and SolidWorks. • Apply simulation tools (Simulink, Python) for system analysis and validation.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience designing electrical systems for battery applications, particularly in automotive or heavy‑equipment contexts, with a strong background in high‑voltage systems and thermal management. Required skills include harness design, sensor integration, proficiency with CAD tools such as E3 and SolidWorks, and simulation software like Simulink or Python. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field is required. • Minimum 3 years experience designing electrical systems for battery applications, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. • Proven expertise in high‑voltage systems and thermal management.
