About the Role
The engineer will develop detailed roadway designs that meet local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications, including alignment, geometry, and material specifications. Responsibilities also include preparing feasibility studies, cost estimates, securing permits, providing construction‑phase technical support, conducting inspections and quality‑control checks, and integrating environmental considerations such as storm‑water management. • Develop detailed roadway designs compliant with regulations and standards • Create alignment and geometric designs for roads, intersections, and related facilities • Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project plans • Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local, state, and federal authorities • Provide technical support during construction and review project plans • Conduct inspections and quality‑control checks to ensure design compliance • Integrate storm‑water management and environmental impact considerations • Assist in monitoring project budgets, schedules, and progress

This on‑site role involves collaborating with designers and engineers on a variety of transportation projects. Candidates must have four or more years of relevant engineering design experience and a Professional Engineering license—or the ability to obtain one within twelve months. Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, strong knowledge of civil and traffic engineering principles, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. • Hold 4+ years of roadway design experience • Possess a Professional Engineering license or obtain within 12 months • Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D • Strong understanding of civil and traffic engineering principles • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
