Heavy Equipment Operator (Landfill)

About the Role

The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations to efficiently transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil. Key duties include performing pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, operating a variety of equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers and front‑end loaders, continuously monitoring waste for unacceptable material, maintaining equipment readiness, performing minor service tasks, completing equipment condition reports, keeping the shop clean, and adhering to all safety policies while performing additional job‑related tasks as assigned.
