About the Role

Assist in the planning, layout, and performance of all pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skills when requested by project supervision, and follow direction from higher‑skilled workers or foremen. The role may involve up to 12‑hour shifts of hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, including climbing, balancing on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Employees must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb occasionally, frequently use hands for grasping and handling, wear required personal protective equipment, and comply with all safety standards while working in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas. • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment, and information. • Identify improvement opportunities in tasks, methods, and learn from others. • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work. • Apply effective math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Safely use and operate work‑related tools and equipment. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, storage, and time. • Consult a supervisor when unsure about work aspects or safety practices.

What You Bring

Candidates should have one to two years of experience in industrial or commercial construction and a general understanding of the craft work performed. A NCCER Core Curriculum certification or a high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
