About the Role

The Sr. Data Center Facility Manager will lead the Ashburn facility operations, overseeing critical infrastructure, planning upgrades, and developing tools, processes, and a safety culture to enable effective scaling. This role sits at the core of maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that powers the digital world for customers and communities. In this position, the manager ensures continuous high availability of the data center’s physical systems while guiding 24x7 engineering teams, handling escalations, and coordinating incident response and capacity planning. They collaborate with internal and external partners to drive improvement projects from concept to completion and participate in new facility design initiatives. • Oversee all critical physical infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance. • Lead and develop 24×7 engineering teams, providing training and best‑practice guidance. • Drive improvement projects from conception through completion, coordinating internal and external partners. • Act as the escalation point for facility issues and respond to out‑of‑hours emergencies. • Manage operation and maintenance of systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, and monitoring equipment. • Conduct site capacity planning and participate in new facility design initiatives. • Coordinate incident response, root‑cause analysis, and resolution approval. • Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, OSHA, and industry standards during all work. • Apply project‑management and vendor‑partner skills to deliver results. • Participate in retirement savings with employer contributions.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates bring over ten years of management experience in technology and critical facility operations, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a proven ability to develop high‑performing leaders in a 24/7 environment. They possess deep knowledge of power and cooling infrastructure, industry standards, safety regulations, and excel in project management, vendor relations, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional collaboration. • Leverage 10+ years of technology operations management experience in a data‑center environment. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and demonstrate strategic‑tactical execution. • Possess deep knowledge of data‑center power and cooling infrastructure and related codes. • Utilize troubleshooting and analytical abilities to solve complex problems under pressure.
