About the Role
Under general supervision, the Quality Inspector applies technical skills to verify that materials, equipment, and installations meet Wanzek or client specifications. The role involves conducting inspections across various project activities, generating condition reports, notifying management of significant issues, and completing documentation to confirm satisfactory completion of inspection or test tasks. The inspector promotes and adheres to company safety policies while ensuring the quality of work on large‑scale wind, solar, and industrial projects, including roads, excavations, concrete, substations, transmission lines, solar racking, PV installations, underground utilities, wind turbine erection, and a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment. Responsibilities include organized planning, daily monitoring and recording of work scope, pre‑construction quality inspections, timely deficiency detection and correction, coordination with field quality staff and supervision, maintaining accurate inspection records, creating punch lists, verifying equipment calibration, and meeting daily task schedules. • Promote and follow all company safety policies and procedures. • Inspect quality of work on diverse wind, solar, and industrial construction activities. • Plan and record daily QC/QA data in an organized manner. • Monitor work scope and report according to FQM or client criteria. • Conduct pre‑construction inspections to prevent deficiencies. • Detect, document, and address deficiencies promptly. • Coordinate with field quality staff and supervision to ensure QA/QC compliance. • Maintain complete inspection records and generate daily reports. • Create punch lists and verify calibration of measuring equipment. • Meet daily task schedules to keep projects on track. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical procedures. • Collect and record field data to support quality control programs. • Apply basic algebra, geometry, and problem‑solving techniques.

What You Bring
Qualifications include an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma with 1‑3 years of relevant construction experience. Preferred certifications such as NDE are beneficial. The candidate must prioritize health and safety, work independently, be a self‑starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, read and interpret blueprints, write daily reports, collect field data to support quality control procedures, and possess basic algebra, geometry, and problem‑solving abilities. • Possess an associate degree or high school diploma with 1‑3 years relevant experience. • Hold inspection certifications (e.g., NDE) preferred. • Demonstrate self‑starting attitude, organization, and strong interpersonal skills.
