About the Role

The HazMat Retail Driver Technician operates class A or B trucks in a Less Than Truckload (LTL) capacity to pick up retail waste from stores, pharmacies, and industrial sites. Waste is sorted, packaged, verified, secured, and transported to temporary storage or treatment facilities. The role includes providing excellent customer service, maintaining electronic logs, and complying with government regulations. Key duties include performing LTL pickups, maintaining company equipment and vehicle logs, ensuring customer satisfaction, conducting DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, processing hazardous and non‑hazardous materials, assisting with facility housekeeping, and acting as a technician on lab‑pack and field service projects while handling other assigned tasks.

What You Bring

Preferred candidates possess knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and compressor systems, as well as pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and general maintenance. They are skilled with hand and shop tools, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, can prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, and a CDL Hazmat endorsement is advantageous. A valid Class A commercial driver’s license is required, and new hires must complete a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training. Pay ranges from $19.70 to $27.05 per hour, varying by locality, with additional bonus plan details available.
