About the Role

• Assist with the management and leading of projects • Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance • Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering • Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire project • Lead and provide support for construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering • Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members • Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients

What You Bring

Kimley-Horn's Baltimore County, MD office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Structures team. This position is on-site and not remote. • 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for drawing production • Experience with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, E‑Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other related tools • Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines • Detail-oriented team player who contributes to a positive work environment • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects concurrently • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a focus on continuous personal and staff development • Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
