About the Role

In this position you will shape the future of digital solutions for the energy sector by engaging utilities, independent power producers, municipalities and other key accounts. You will lead high‑impact initiatives, build strong relationships and deliver innovative solutions that make utility operations smarter and more efficient. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include creating and executing a strategic business plan for your territory, generating and qualifying new sales opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, proposals and operations throughout the sales cycle. You will also manage RFP/RFI and budgetary submissions, keep sales data and forecasts up‑to‑date in Salesforce, and monitor competitor activity to ensure Hitachi Energy is well positioned. • Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the territory. • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with existing and new customers. • Build internal and external networks to generate leads. • Evaluate and qualify prospects to convert them into opportunities. • Maintain accurate sales data and forecasts in Salesforce CRM. • Coordinate with marketing, proposals, and operations teams throughout the sales cycle. • Lead RFP, RFI, and budgetary submissions to meet customer requirements. • Monitor competitor strategies and position Hitachi Energy for success. • Leverage 12+ years of enterprise software sales experience to expand the customer base.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business management or a related field and brings at least 12 years of enterprise software sales experience. A proven track record of expanding customer bases in the electric utility sector, strong knowledge of IT/OT convergence, and excellent communication, negotiation and strategic planning skills are essential. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the electric utility sector and IT/OT convergence. • Utilize excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business management or a related field.
