About the Role

• Execute projects and manage multidisciplinary teams using HDR’s project management tools and business systems. • Lead design teams through all phases—planning, design, permitting, and construction—of facility projects. • Develop and maintain client relationships, delivering presentations, memoranda, and reports. • Recruit, mentor, and train staff to expand technical expertise and design production capacity. • Participate in external marketing, business development, and regional/national travel as needed. • Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts; oversee scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and quality control.

What You Bring

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its Charleston, SC office to oversee facility projects from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with client goals and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate brings at least ten years of progressive experience, strong client‑development skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative team culture. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field. • Possess at least 7 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in project management. • Demonstrate 10+ years of progressive experience leading design teams on facility projects. • Exhibit strong communication, leadership, and planning skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Preference for candidates located in Charleston or the surrounding area and those who align with HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
