About the Role
The Carpenter Foreman supervises and coordinates carpenter workers to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and on schedule. They create sketches that detail the work to be accomplished and plan jobs, respecting timelines and securing necessary resources. • Inspect work quality to ensure standards and specifications are met • Assist workers and resolve problems • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations • Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and complete reports • Build and set forms, use level instruments, tie rebar, build scaffolds, finish carpentry, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate hand and power tools • Assist other craft workers as needed • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb) and perform repetitive hand/arm and leg tasks • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds; walk on uneven, muddy, or sandy surfaces • Operate electric, gas, and pneumatic hand and power tools; work in adverse weather and confined spaces • Perform prolonged bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, and standing while lifting • Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and field workers • Perform calculations and use math as needed • Make decisions, stay detail‑oriented, and lead/motivate crew amid distractions
