Cleaner, Part Time- 2nd Shift

About the Role

Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role involves vacuuming rugs, spot‑cleaning and shampooing them as directed, dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and performing periodic high‑dusting. Additional tasks are washing windowsills and interior glass, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, monitoring fixtures for defects, and collecting building trash. Seasonal duties may include sweeping or shoveling snow from entrances and walkways, and periodic polishing of leather, wood, and walls. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors using commercial buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, and light fixtures; perform periodic high‑dusting. • Wash windowsills, interior glass, and specified windows; clean entrance door glass and trim. • Clean and restock bathrooms daily, including wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing dispensers, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor fixtures for defects (e.g., clogged urinals, burned‑out lights) and report to supervisors. • Collect building trash, replace liners, and place containers in designated collection areas. • Sweep or shovel snow from building entrances and walkways as needed. • Perform periodic tasks such as leather and wood polishing, wall washing, and other assigned duties.
