Design and oversee electronic security systems for critical infrastructure projects.

About the Role
• Interact with a diverse set of clients including government agency personnel, public officials, business, and nonprofit staff • Participate in security assessments and develop security standards/specifications, master plans, and similar documents in collaboration with other team members and clients • Develop security designs and prepare construction documentation, such as drawings and specifications for electronic security systems (e.g., video, access control, intrusion detection, etc.). • Participate in marketing TRC’s services to clients and responses to RFQ/RFPs • Work with the various law enforcement and regulatory agencies as required • Work closely with government emergency management, law enforcement and security agencies

What You Bring
• Ability to travel periodically to meet client and project needs • Basic business acumen and the ability to understand, support and grow client relationships • Certifications such as CPTED, CBCP, RCDD, CSPM or in other related areas • Bi-or multi-lingual skills • Experience with development of performance standards and specifications for security systems • Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) via ASIS International or similar • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering or systems design (or similar) with professional registration (PE, NICET, etc.) • Knowledge of fire/life safety systems and standards • The ability to occasionally walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, often in outdoor environments • Ability to work with design team that will produce drawings in electronic format (e.g. • AutoCAD) and/or the ability to generate documents in AutoCAD • US Citizen, with current driver’s license and ability to travel by air, bus, train, etc. • Experience with computer-aided analysis and design tools • Excellent technical writing skills • Travel throughout the U.S. (travel estimated at 10-25% of the year) • Previous experience designing electronic security systems (e.g., video, access control, etc.) • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team to support business objectives • Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and low voltage standards • Knowledge of communications systems • Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, laptop computers, and/or related tools • 5 or more years of experience • Have a working knowledge of electrical design concepts and standards. • Ability to pass multiple detailed background checks (including criminal history) and drug screening • Working knowledge of the major security platforms and systems (e.g., Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, Milestone, LenelS2, ExacqVision, Axis Communications, etc.) • Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings and follow strict safety protocols
