About the Role
Key responsibilities include conducting geotechnical subsurface investigations and geophysical surveys, performing drilling, sampling, and soil‑rock logging, and interacting with drilling contractors and clients. The role also involves observing construction activities, conducting material testing, and under senior supervision completing foundation design, settlement, slope stability, and other calculations. • Conduct geotechnical fieldwork, including drilling, sampling, soil/rock logging, and geophysical surveys. • Observe and document construction activities; perform material testing/inspection. • Review soil and bedrock samples, test results, and perform foundation, settlement, and slope stability calculations. • Communicate with drilling contractors and clients; coordinate project tasks. • Analyze data and produce engineering reports under senior staff supervision.

What You Bring
Applicants must possess strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of soil mechanics, geology, and geophysical methods, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis (Master’s preferred). Willingness to work outdoors, travel up to 75 % of the time during the first two years, and proficiency with MS Office—and preferably gINT, GIS, Slope/W, and LPile—are required, along with a valid driver’s license and clean record. • Travel up to 75% of time to project sites across the United States. • Use MS Office and, preferably, gINT, GIS, Slope/W, and LPile software. • Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus (M.S. preferred); possess strong analytical and communication skills. • Relocate to Round Rock, TX, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
