What You Bring

Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in natural sciences, possess a positive attitude, flexibility, and good communication skills. The internship runs from early June to mid‑August 2026 (with the possibility of an earlier start or extension past August), is paid at $19 per hour for a 40‑hour work week, and can be based anywhere in the continental United States while being prepared to travel to project sites. • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an environmental‑related bachelor’s program • Completed at least junior year of college (preferred) • Experience with natural resources field work through coursework, research, or volunteering • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail • Willingness to learn new survey and monitoring techniques • Ability to work well in a team • Ability to work remotely in field locations for extended periods with limited services • Capacity for strenuous manual labor, carrying equipment up to 50 lb, and working in inclement weather • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a 4WD vehicle on backcountry roads • Familiarity with GPS, digital data collection, or ArcGIS • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Technical writing experience • Interest or experience in graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or visual storytelling • Experience supporting outreach materials, presentations, reports, or digital content • Basic photography or video documentation skills • Exposure to multidisciplinary ecological restoration teams and professional development presentations
