About the Role

• Strategize and direct purchasing of product‑related goods and services to achieve optimal cost and quality. • Identify alternatives, evaluate and select new suppliers based on price, quality, delivery and service criteria. • Negotiate pricing, terms and maintain annual contracts with suppliers. • Develop sourcing lists, monitor supplier performance and enforce compliance with Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct. • Communicate regularly with MTU America administration, finance and EDS on corporate policies and procedures. • Lead, assign, evaluate, and develop purchasing staff, setting goals and ensuring competence. • Oversee purchasing documentation, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis. • Conduct special projects and support a safe, clean work environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Business Administration. • Minimum 7 years (or 11 years equivalent) experience purchasing manufacturing parts, supplies and products. • Ability to work flexible hours and travel domestically and internationally. • Proven leadership and negotiation abilities. • Strong knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods. • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Strong interpersonal, oral, written and presentation communication skills. • Ability to interpret blueprints and proficient with PC/MS Office; SAP experience preferred. • Knowledge of MTU products, off‑highway diesel engines; German language skills and MBA are a plus.
