About the Role

The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end-to-end fiber optic networks, testing and troubleshooting continuity, operating a range of testing equipment, preparing splice enclosures, and performing fusion splicing. The role also requires applying fiber design knowledge on outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot continuity of fiber optic networks. • Operate OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and other testing equipment to resolve network issues. • Prepare splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning) and perform fusion splicing. • Apply fiber design knowledge to read documentation, assess light levels, and calculate dB loss. • Work on outdoor utility construction sites, including ladder and bucket-truck operations. • Maintain a strong safety focus and consistently deliver high-quality work. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with company match and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
