About the Role

The role sits within a multi‑disciplinary project team, delivering mechanical engineering technical capability and design expertise to develop water TOTEX solutions. You will contribute to the design, analysis and delivery of mechanical systems that support the Alliance’s mission. • Lead preparation and analysis of mechanical options, reviewing with client and stakeholders while mitigating risks and upholding the Project Basis of Design. • Perform design calculations to size mechanical, hydraulic, power‑generating, and building services equipment. • Liaise with the supply chain to assess and incorporate the latest technologies during the optioneering process. • Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and engineering solutions. • Oversee production of P&IDs, data sheets, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and provide mechanical input to commissioning plans and performance tests. • Support health & safety excellence by producing safe designs compliant with CDM Regulations and applicable standards. • Identify and promote opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have extensive practical mechanical design experience in a similar environment. A proven track record designing hydraulic and mechanical systems, knowledge of modular build processes, and familiarity with electrical control, instrumentation and switchgear are essential. The role requires collaborative, integrated working with an awareness of how your actions impact colleagues and regional customers. You will act with accountability and integrity, take personal responsibility, and demonstrate strong teamwork to meet project timelines while safely exploring new technologies and processes.
