Senior Specialist IT Product Owner - Scheduling Solution
Lead product vision, roadmap, and delivery for advanced scheduling solutions.
Job Highlights
About the Role
As a Senior Product Owner you will set and communicate the product vision, maintain the roadmap, and define key operational processes such as the release schedule. You will work closely with business partners and customers to ensure that epics align with essential business objectives for Scrum or Kanban teams. You will manage product funding, prioritize work for the team, and balance new feature development with continuous improvement, system health, and support. Collaboration with analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders will be central to executing the roadmap, guiding the development lifecycle, defining user stories, and advocating for the customer. The role focuses on advanced scheduling and optimization solutions, requiring close engagement with stakeholders to drive product support, stability, governance, and a secure development lifecycle while managing vendor relationships and commercial strategies. • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and epics for advanced scheduling and optimization solutions, leveraging platforms such as Dassault Ortems and Palantir to meet complex manufacturing and supply chain needs. • Own the product backlog for scheduling and optimization capabilities, managing and prioritizing user stories, decomposing epics into features, and driving continuous improvement aligned with operational efficiency goals. • Plan, manage, and track product funding, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives in production planning, resource allocation, and throughput optimization; fully responsible for product budget and profit plan. • Develop and maintain product-specific personas and customer journeys focused on planners, schedulers, and operations managers using advanced scheduling tools. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and end-users to understand constraints, priorities, and KPIs such as schedule adherence, lead time reduction, and resource utilization. • Define and communicate goals for product increments and releases, ensuring alignment with agile delivery of scheduling algorithms, constraint-based planning features, and integration capabilities. • Support onboarding of internal and external resources, including SMEs in manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, and software integration. • Ensure product support, stability, and governance across scheduling platforms, including data integrity, policy compliance, cybersecurity, and system usage. • Act as a functional expert in advanced scheduling and optimization, including finite capacity scheduling, multi-site planning, and real-time constraint management. • Define and improve product processes such as release schedules and sprint cadences, applying Lean, Agile, and DevSecOps principles to scheduling solution delivery. • Understand and support commercial, business, and go-to-market strategies for scheduling solutions, including licensing models, deployment options, and customer success metrics. • Champion a Secure Product Development Lifecycle with a strong cybersecurity focus across all engineering and integration activities. • Manage contracts and relationships with software vendors (e.g., Dassault Systèmes) and service providers to support the product strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and IT standards.
