About the Role
In this role you will support construction projects by performing quality calculations for progress payments, drafting change orders, interpreting plans and Caltrans standards, maintaining contract document logs, taking meeting minutes, coordinating RFI and submittal responses, reviewing certified payroll, and handling document control with various software. You will exercise responsible, ethical decision-making in line with WSP’s Code of Conduct, maintain ongoing communication with the Resident Engineer, construction administration staff, and the District Construction office, and take on additional duties as business needs arise. • Calculate progress pay estimates and maintain project records • Draft and process change orders for approval • Interpret project plans and Caltrans specifications • Log contract documents and take meeting minutes • Coordinate responses to RFIs and submittals • Review certified payroll statements • Manage document control using software tools • Apply ethical decision-making per WSP Code of Conduct • Communicate continuously with Resident Engineer and construction staff

What You Bring
The position requires a minimum of 11 years of relevant construction inspection or office engineering experience, strong independent work capability, thorough knowledge of Caltrans construction practices and construction manuals, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, scheduling tools, and Expedition or similar systems. Successful candidates must also pass WSP’s motor-vehicle screening; highway/bridge office engineering experience and familiarity with Falcon DMS are preferred. • Minimum 11 years of construction inspection or office engineering experience • Work independently in typical construction field office duties • Thorough knowledge of Caltrans practices and construction manuals for estimates and change orders • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, scheduling software, and Expedition (or equivalent) • Pass WSP motor vehicle screening • Preferred: highway/bridge office engineering background • Preferred: experience with Falcon DMS
