About the Role

The Driver Helper works alongside a Route Driver to collect waste and recyclable material from residential and commercial sites, loading containers onto the truck and assisting with vehicle maneuvers. • Load and manually or mechanically empty residential/commercial containers into the truck hopper. • Operate hoisting devices to lift and empty bins or containers. • Assist the driver with backing maneuvers and other on‑route tasks. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests and service issues to management promptly. • Attend all required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Follow WM Safety and Life‑Critical Rules, OSHA regulations, and all applicable laws. • Meet physical demands such as lifting, carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive motions with coordination.
