About the Role
Under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician A performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. This includes chassis components, refuse bodies (control, hydraulic, and electrical systems), air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC components, and suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. The role supports drivers on the road and works with some of the most technically advanced vehicles in the fleet. Key responsibilities include repairing chassis components, refuse bodies, engine systems, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and air‑ and hydraulic braking systems. Technicians identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools, perform line‑maintenance welding and fabrication, and complete applicable company training programs. What You Bring
Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician and be capable of inspecting and repairing systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions without supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are preferred but not required. • Minimum three years’ experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician • Ability to inspect and repair suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions • ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8) preferred • LNG or CNG experience preferred • Class B or higher commercial driver’s license preferred • Valid driver’s license (required)
