About the Role
The Safety Coordinator will spend about 80% of time in the field auditing job sites for compliance with Cash Construction’s safety policy and communicating findings to management. Responsibilities include providing safety leadership, conducting weekly tailgate meetings, maintaining first‑aid and emergency supplies, inputting incident reports, delivering training, identifying hazards, implementing the Zero Injury System, participating in inspections, managing hazard‑communication programs, and leading emergency responses while continuously expanding safety expertise. • Audit job sites for safety compliance, spending ~80% of time in the field. • Lead safety initiatives and encourage participation among employees and subcontractors. • Conduct weekly tailgate safety meetings and report effectiveness to management. • Maintain on‑site first‑aid and emergency response supplies. • Input and review incident reports and document daily safety activities. • Deliver safety training and observations as directed by the Safety Director. • Identify hazards, assist site management with corrective actions, and document actions. • Implement the Zero Injury System and enforce safety policies and procedures. • Participate in site inspections, testing, and hazard‑communication program compliance. • Coordinate and present safety training, including documentation and presentations. • Continuously expand safety knowledge as directed by management.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a minimum of two years in a full‑time safety position, or five years of heavy construction experience in lieu of each safety year, and be able to read and write Spanish. Preferred qualifications include CHST certification, excavation and trenching experience, OSHA 510/500 certification, and MSHA experience.
