About the Role

The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle and assists the Driver in providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers on a designated residential route. Responsibilities include safely loading waste, carrying bags and containers to the vehicle, directing the driver from the ground, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and work area. Key duties involve riding on the vehicle while servicing customers, operating packing mechanisms and levers to lift and load waste, cleaning the packer blade, truck body, hopper, and spray areas after each trip, and conducting thorough pre- and post‑operation vehicle inspections while reporting any safety concerns. The Helper also interacts courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members, monitors waste for unacceptable materials, cleans accidental spills according to safety standards, and adheres to productivity and safety policies. • Ride on the vehicle to assist the driver on a designated residential route. • Operate packing mechanisms and controls to load waste. • Clean waste from the packer blade, truck body, hopper, and spray areas as needed. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members. • Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and address spills per safety standards. • Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service. • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
