About the Role

The Senior Civil Construction Inspector will oversee field inspections for civil infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. The role ensures construction work aligns with design documents, supports junior staff, and acts as the senior inspector when needed, contributing directly to safe and efficient infrastructure. • Conduct and document construction observations for civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater, pump stations, pipelines). • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies. • Mentor and supervise junior field staff. • Collaborate with field representatives and project managers. • Serve as senior inspector on projects when required.

What You Bring

HDR requires compliance with its Drug and Alcohol Policy, which may involve pre‑employment screening and adherence to client‑driven testing. The position does not offer visa sponsorship for U.S. employment. • Technical school diploma or associate degree (preferred). • Relevant industry certifications (preferred). • Ability to interpret construction schedules (preferred). • Minimum five years of construction inspection experience (or eight years in lieu of high school diploma). • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Strong written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team.
