About the Role
The HVAC Service Sales Development Representative plays a critical role in driving growth and profitability for our HVAC service business. Working within an assigned territory and a local branch office, the rep builds profitable service relationships with new customers by selling renewable maintenance agreements and leveraging digital service offerings. • Identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers • Contact prospects, schedule appointments, and build referral networks • Conduct sales calls to uncover problems and consult Facility Directors on HVAC systems • Propose renewable maintenance agreements and digital services to position Johnson Controls as supplier of choice • Review and finalize proposals and secure customer commitments • Lead kick‑off meetings, resolve issues, maintain and extend service agreements, and support collections • Update management on account status using Salesforce • Develop and implement territory marketing plans and attend trade shows • Represent Johnson Controls with high standards of quality, pride, integrity, and performance

What You Bring
Success in this role requires a disciplined approach to prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business each month. The representative partners with sales and operations professionals, uses Salesforce to track progress, and implements territory marketing plans while representing Johnson Controls with integrity and quality. We seek candidates with two to three years of progressive sales experience, strong technical aptitude, and excellent presentation skills. Experience selling services, familiarity with sales methodologies, and knowledge of building HVAC systems are advantageous, as is post‑secondary education and prior use of Salesforce. • 2–3 years progressive sales experience with proven results • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail • Excellent presentation skills for individual and group communication • Experience selling services and intangible offerings • Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines • Knowledge of building HVAC systems (preferred) • Post‑secondary education (preferred) • Prior experience with Salesforce (preferred)
