About the Role

In this role you will work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, operate, optimize, and validate electrical systems in 24x7 mission‑critical facilities such as plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and power‑generation environments. Key responsibilities include leading commissioning activities for power distribution, emergency and standby power, lighting controls, fire‑alarm interfaces, grounding, and protective relays; performing hands‑on field testing with PQMs, infrared cameras, multimeters, and load banks; developing functional performance test procedures; reviewing design documents; identifying and troubleshooting deficiencies; and preparing comprehensive commissioning reports. The role also requires mentoring junior engineers, participating in project meetings, supporting the development of commissioning standards, and optionally contributing to SKM studies, Arc Flash analyses, and power‑system modeling. • Lead commissioning of medium and low voltage power distribution, emergency/standby power, lighting controls, fire‑alarm interfaces, grounding, and protective relays. • Conduct hands‑on field testing using PQMs, infrared cameras, multimeters, clamp meters, circuit analyzers, and load banks. • Develop and execute functional performance test procedures and commissioning plans. • Review electrical design documents, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance and commissioning considerations. • Identify system deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and design teams. • Prepare commissioning reports, issue logs, and close‑out packages. • Mentor junior engineers and field technicians, providing technical guidance. • Participate in project meetings, stakeholder coordination, and status communication. • Support creation and improvement of commissioning standards, procedures, and best practices. • (Optional) Perform SKM studies, Arc Flash analyses, and power system modeling.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred). • 10‑12+ years of electrical commissioning or NETA‑level testing experience in commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical facilities. • Strong knowledge of NETA testing principles, ATS/MTS procedures, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and related standards. • Proven proficiency with PQMs, IR cameras, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. • Experience with SKM, Arc Flash studies, and power system modeling is a plus. • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and report‑writing skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and perform fieldwork in active construction environments.
