About the Role

The Environmental Project Manager will lead multiple environmental projects, mentor junior staff, and oversee their development. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, maintaining a client database, preparing budgets, change orders, invoices, and supporting collection efforts. The role also requires scheduling, training, and supervising field and office personnel, as well as prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines. • Mentor junior staff and oversee their development. • Lead project meetings and resolve technical and administrative issues. • Maintain daily client communication and manage client database. • Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections. • Schedule, train, and supervise field and office personnel. • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in coordination with supervisor. • Manage multiple environmental projects simultaneously, including site set‑up and implementation. • Prepare proposals, environmental reports, analyses, and recommendations. • Review deliverables from subordinate staff before senior review. • Conduct field site visits, ensure quality, and communicate milestones to clients. • Develop site work plans, sampling strategies, and safety protocols. • Assist with remediation system installation and underground storage tank assessments. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or a related science, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license is preferred. Required skills include knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, test methods, and the ability to develop new client relationships. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil/environmental engineering, geology, or related field. • Minimum two years of relevant experience; PE or PG license preferred. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of permitting processes and environmental test methods. • Ability to lift 40 lb and work on uneven terrain.
