Quality Electrical Tester 2nd Shift
Test and verify low voltage electrical assemblies ensuring quality and safety.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The primary function of the Electrical Tester is to ensure the integrity and functionality of low voltage electrical assemblies by conducting thorough testing and verification processes. This includes detecting and diagnosing issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high‑quality performance of electrical systems. Inspect and electrically test low voltage products produced on all lines according to inspection work instructions and applicable governmental requirements. Confirm proper function per test scripts, identify any product non‑conformances, and ensure the items meet customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements. Document inspections on the applicable checklist and perform final and in‑process inspections across multiple product lines to deliver quality products to customers. Program controllers and conduct thorough electrical testing of low voltage assembly products, verifying torqued connections with a torque wrench per inspection instructions. Conduct electrical and mechanical tests following safety, training requirements, and procedures, and perform inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies using Hi‑Pot, continuity testing, and component‑specific devices. Follow applicable test procedures and component literature, including the Universal Voltage Cart. • Test and verify low‑voltage electrical assemblies for functionality and safety. • Inspect and document product compliance using test scripts and checklists. • Program controllers and perform electrical/mechanical tests with Hi‑Pot, continuity, and torque tools. • Identify and report non‑conformances to meet customer and quality standards. • Conduct final and in‑process inspections across multiple product lines. • Interpret technical documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Apply UL, NEC, and customer‑specific codes during testing. • Communicate findings and collaborate within a team environment. • Maintain computer literacy for documentation and data entry.
