About the Role
• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques and principles with senior staff guidance to develop designs, reports, and other project elements. • Assist senior engineers in developing civil and marine design plans. • Perform engineering calculations, write technical reports, and present findings to project engineers and managers. • Research code provisions and specifications. • Interpret typical engineering drawings and details. • Assist senior engineers with project cost estimates. • Develop fluency in AutoCAD and structural design software such as STAAD and Enercalc. • Establish and maintain positive relationships with co‑workers, managers, and clients. • Perform self QA/QC for design methodology, plans, calculations, and outcomes, and respond efficiently to supervisor QA/QC.

The role is highly hands‑on, offering the chance to work on a diverse and challenging civil and marine project portfolio. As the structural team expands, the company wants an innovative engineer who is eager to learn and grow alongside the firm, handling both fieldwork and office‑based engineering assignments that cover the full spectrum of marine and waterfront design projects. • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (structural focus preferred). • Possess Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; PE license or passing the PE exam is preferred. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and clients. • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for job‑related communications and instructions.

The position provides a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $150,000, dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
