About the Role
The team supports customers in the Industrial Automation business across Australia and New Zealand, reporting to the Customer Success division. Based in Macquarie Park, the engineers ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot faults across SCADA verticals such as GeoSCADA, AVEVA System Platform and AVEVA Plant SCADA, and work closely with pre‑sales, sales, quotes and procurement teams to deliver a seamless end‑to‑end experience. • Resolve complex software issues and propose work‑arounds for customers. • Document activities and findings promptly in the case management system. • Create digital self‑help materials and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with colleagues across support centres and other departments. • Manage customer experience through regular, empathetic communication while focusing on technical resolutions. • Continuously learn and contribute to team and customer success. • Use Windows tools and commands for software diagnosis and troubleshooting. • Integrate hardware and software solutions. • Participate in an initial phone conversation. • Attend an in‑person panel interview.

What You Bring
Two Software Technical Support Engineer positions are open for the Pacific Zone ANZ, requiring at least two years of experience in an Application Support function. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the SMART office at Macquarie Park, and includes additional benefits. Successful candidates will have two to four years of Application Support experience within an ASX top‑100 company, a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science, and a solid understanding of software architecture, unit testing and the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with automation hardware communications and setup is also required. • Preferable experience with AVEVA System Platform, Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA. • Understand Windows OS, networking concepts and security. • Demonstrate quick thinking, self‑motivation and proactive action to maintain customer satisfaction.
