About the Role
As the HR Business Partner, you will align business objectives with employee and management needs within designated units or regions, acting as a strategic consultant on HR‑related issues and partnering across the HR function to deliver value‑added services. • Serve as primary HR contact for the Business Group, addressing employee and management inquiries. • Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies that drive business outcomes. • Provide performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. • Improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention through strategic initiatives. • Offer HR policy guidance and interpretation to managers and staff. • Advise on termination decisions and support the process to mitigate risk. • Contribute to business unit restructures, acquisitions, workforce planning, and succession planning. • Identify training needs, coordinate programs, and ensure training objectives are met. • Partner with hiring managers on job titles, compensation, bonuses, and required skill sets. • Conduct meetings with leaders on recruiting, retention, and other department priorities. • Build strong relationships at all organizational levels. • Maintain high integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information.

What You Bring
GFT is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join its Strategic Services Team in Pennsylvania or Maryland. The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at the local office. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field, brings at least eight years of HR experience across multiple disciplines, and demonstrates strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and relationship‑building skills. Preferred qualifications include an HR certification, experience in engineering or professional services, and familiarity with Workday. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field. • Possess 8+ years of HR experience across multiple HR disciplines. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. • Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Think strategically and solve problems effectively. • Preferred: HR certification, experience in engineering or professional services, Workday HRIS experience.
