What You Bring
The Downer South division, known for high‑quality project delivery nationwide, is seeking an experienced or emerging Driver Operator for diverse construction, renewal, and maintenance projects in the Wellington region. The role involves operating excavators, rollers, graders, and trucks, as well as occasional hand‑tool work, alongside a dedicated team. Candidates must hold a Class 4 licence (WTR preferred), possess experience in truck reversing, tipping and positioning, and have strong knowledge of road‑safety inspections. Physical fitness, reliability, and flexibility in working hours are essential, as the job includes manual loading, unloading, and ground‑crew support. • Must hold a Class 4 licence (WTR preferred) • Skilled in reversing, tipping, and positioning trucks • Knowledge of road‑safety protocols and pre/post‑trip inspections • Reliable, hard‑working, physically fit, and flexible with hours
