About the Role

• Conduct feasibility studies and advise on procurement strategies and contract selection. • Write and undertake procurement reports, applying value management techniques early in projects. • Manage, estimate, and cost‑plan, taking ownership of and presenting final cost plans. • Negotiate and agree final accounts. • Interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all project stages. • Handle contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract. • Identify and act on opportunities to improve cost‑management procedures, templates, and products. • Identify and improve internal systems and processes. • Provide Capex vs Opex cost analysis and advice.

What You Bring

Within our business we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery to unlock the potential of every project. • Hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management (or equivalent). • Possess professional membership such as MRICS/RICS. • Have experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role. • Experience with highways projects or frameworks. • Demonstrated cost planning, budgeting and estimating expertise. • Experience managing people and risk. • Sound knowledge of contract administration and ability to advise on it. • Knowledge of value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Awareness of sustainability, social value, and carbon‑reduction issues in the public sector.
