About the Role
Key responsibilities include owning the full financial model for mid‑ and late‑stage development assets, handling project offtake bidding, and monitoring debt, tax equity, and cash equity markets for valuation techniques. The associate will support transaction processes—including due diligence, data‑room management, term‑sheet preparation, and the creation of materials for Investment and Risk Committee reviews. Ongoing duties involve monitoring construction and operational financing, managing loan draws, refinancing, and compliance, while also conducting macroeconomic and power‑market analysis to guide financing strategies. • Own and update financial models for development and operational phases, including offtake bidding and capital‑structure sensitivities. • Monitor debt, tax equity, and cash equity markets to inform valuation techniques and pricing. • Conduct due diligence, manage data rooms, and support term‑sheet and transaction document preparation. • Coordinate construction loan draws, refinancing, and compliance for projects in construction or operation. • Perform macroeconomic and power‑market analysis to assess financing viability and project valuation. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on PPA pricing, engineering optimization, EPC/O&M negotiations, and corporate FP&A roll‑up. • Create marketing materials such as teasers and confidential information memoranda and manage data rooms.

The Associate, Project Finance role seeks a highly motivated and organized candidate with strong industry knowledge, communication skills, and detail‑oriented abilities. The associate will support a team that sources, negotiates, and executes project sales and structured financings such as cash equity, construction financing, back‑leverage debt, and tax equity. Success requires constant collaboration with internal and external teams to meet project and transaction deadlines, as well as day‑to‑day execution and market analysis for project valuations. The position requires 1‑2 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking within the renewable energy sector. Candidates must be familiar with tax credit financing, construction financing, back‑leverage structures, and discounted cash‑flow analysis (pre‑tax, after‑tax, unlevered, levered). Strong communication, relationship‑building, and cross‑functional collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment. • Minimum 1‑2 years of project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in renewable energy. • Proficient in discounted cash‑flow analysis (pre‑tax, after‑tax, unlevered, levered) and familiar with tax credit and back‑leverage structures. • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills in cross‑functional environments. • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting and meet tight transaction deadlines.
