SUE Technician III
Perform SUE field work, locating and exposing utilities using EM, GPR, GPS, and vacuum excavation.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Collaborate with team to tackle diverse projects. • Read and interpret utility records, as‑built and survey drawings, and highway design plans. • Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies. • Work with Project Managers and Discipline Leads on project needs and requirements. • Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck, performing test holes to expose utilities. • Apply appropriate traffic maintenance measures. • Process “One‑Call” tickets. • Coordinate survey work related to SUE. • Supervise field crew activities and train junior members. • Represent Colliers in the field, communicating with utility companies and clients.

What You Bring
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designation technologies. • Experience operating vacuum excavation equipment (preferred). • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software. • Strong computer, communication, and collaboration skills. • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and walking several miles daily. • Ability to lift equipment up to 80 lb and maintain a clean driving record. • Willingness to travel, work overtime, nights/weekends, and prioritize safety. • Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Benefits
The position offers an hourly rate of $33.00 to $44.00, dependent on qualifications, and requires successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen as well as participation in ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
