About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift, follow all company, state, and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Daily duties include thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. The driver follows the route sheet, operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities, and tags unsatisfactory containers according to departmental procedures. Interaction with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers must be professional and courteous, ensuring routes are serviced efficiently. The driver monitors waste for prohibited materials, cleans accidental spills following safety policies, and keeps the truck clean by removing waste from the packer blade and body on each trip. Required documentation such as route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports are completed accurately, and productivity standards are met to maintain timely service. The driver adheres to all safety policies, participates in the company’s ReSOP program, and performs any additional job‑related duties as assigned.

What You Bring
Success in this role requires strong customer service skills, effective time management, the ability to follow schedules and policies, and a pride in delivering safe, reliable service. Minimum qualification is a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
