About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb. Depending on the line of business, drivers may perform commercial, residential, or roll‑off duties, requiring skilled backing maneuvers in high‑traffic, congested, or tight environments. Key duties include operating the vehicle in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws; completing pre‑and post‑trip inspections and DVIR documentation; reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, or service interruptions; and communicating customer requests to dispatch. Drivers also ensure containers are fully emptied, sites are left clean, follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist teammates as directed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to transport waste or recyclables to disposal sites. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Follow WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and legal policies; report unsafe conditions, incidents, or service interruptions. • Communicate customer requests and ensure sites are left clean after dumping. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a vehicle that requires a Class A or Class B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement, be at least 18 years old, and be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and recent military driving experience (within the past seven years) also qualifies.
