About the Role
In this role you will carry out system repairs and maintenance for key customer sites, focusing on split‑ducted, PAC units, air‑handling units and chillers. You will diagnose faults, perform breakdown repairs, and handle small charge or quoted jobs. Additionally, you will assist the wider team with HVAC upgrades, installations and tenant fit‑outs, and prepare quotations for repair work and minor projects. • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on commercial and retail HVAC systems. • Diagnose faults, repair breakdowns, and execute small charge/quoted jobs. • Support HVAC upgrades, installations, and tenant fit‑out projects. • Prepare quotes for repair work and minor projects. • Maintain AS1851 compliance testing experience. • Work autonomously and mentor junior technicians and apprentices. • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams; own service delivery. • Complete daily debriefs, timesheets, and job management tasks.

What You Bring
The Sunshine Coast branch is seeking a motivated Senior HVAC Technician, with a pathway to a supervisory role as the business continues to grow. The position offers autonomy, exposure to a variety of commercial and retail HVAC equipment, and the chance to develop both technical and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience maintaining, repairing and fault‑finding on larger commercial HVAC/DX equipment and is familiar with AS1851 compliance testing. Required licences include a refrigeration licence with restricted electrical work and a QBCC mechanical services occupational licence. You should be able to work independently, influence senior technicians and apprentices, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills to take full ownership of service delivery. Leadership qualities and a willingness to guide the team toward future supervisory responsibilities are essential. Effective daily debriefing, timesheet management and job organization are expected, as is a current driver’s licence.
