About the Role
Mechanics work Monday‑Friday from 2 pm to midnight, with occasional Saturday shifts and overtime when required. The primary work site is a repair and maintenance shop at the Germantown, WI hauling location. Daily responsibilities involve repairing trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers nationwide. Using modern tools and procedures, mechanics service diesel and, at some sites, CNG trucks, ensuring vehicles leave the shop safely and reliably. • Work primarily in a repair/maintenance shop at the Germantown, WI hauling site • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review and address repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with corporate and OSHA standards
