About the Role

The Director, Capital Portfolio Management will oversee and actively manage Fervo’s portfolio of private capital facilities across the full project and corporate lifecycle. This includes project‑level equity, tax equity, project finance debt, and corporate debt facilities. The role serves as the primary owner of Fervo’s capital stack after close, ensuring financing structures are executed, governed, and optimized from construction through operations, refinancings, amendments, and long‑term portfolio optimization. The Director works hands‑on with lenders, equity partners, and internal stakeholders to manage construction‑period execution risk, maintain compliance, and support efficient capital deployment across a growing multi‑billion‑dollar portfolio of enhanced geothermal projects. • Oversee private capital facilities across project and corporate levels, ensuring compliance and optimization throughout the asset lifecycle. • Directly manage project finance debt during construction and operations, including loan draws, borrowing base mechanics, lender notices, and covenant monitoring. • Serve as primary post‑close relationship manager for project‑level equity, tax equity, and joint‑venture partners, handling information rights, approvals, reporting, and issue resolution. • Administer corporate debt facilities and coordinate with Treasury on liquidity, forecasting, and covenant compliance, including Letter of Credit postings and surety management. • Lead and expand a portfolio management team while coordinating cross‑functional efforts with Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Development, Asset Management, and Treasury.

What You Bring

Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX, with additional offices in Oakland, CA; Golden, CO; Reno, NV; and Salt Lake City, UT. The position is eligible for hybrid work from Houston, with remote work considered for qualified candidates and occasional travel required. • Possess 7+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, energy investing, asset management, or structured finance with post‑close capital facility management. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field. • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with project finance debt during construction, including loan draws, conditions precedent, lender consents, and compliance. • Proven ability to manage external relationships with lenders, equity partners, and advisors while aligning internal technical and commercial teams. • Experience operating across the full asset lifecycle, including construction, early operations, and refinancings. • Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills in highly technical, multi‑stakeholder environments.
