About the Role

The role involves ensuring the success of bridge projects, managing all phases of the project lifecycle—from identification and pursuit to contracting, design development, and construction support—and driving business development through client marketing, proposal preparation, and networking at technical and professional events. The manager will also provide leadership and mentorship to structural staff, plan and supervise the workload of project teams, and monitor costs to keep projects on budget, on schedule, and aligned with quality and strategic goals. • Lead bridge projects through the full lifecycle from identification to construction support. • Drive business development via client marketing, proposal preparation, and networking events. • Mentor and provide leadership to structural staff. • Plan, organize, and supervise project team workload. • Monitor project costs, schedule, quality, and strategic alignment. • Maintain an established network with NY State bridge owners and contractors.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (a master's is preferred) and be a PE licensed in New York. They need at least ten years of bridge design and management experience, an established network with New York State bridge owners such as NYSDOT and the Thruway Authority, and familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and the Federal‑Aid delivery process. Additional strengths include experience with construction engineering, AREMA rail bridge design, design‑build procurement, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while pursuing new work. • Hold a B.S. in civil/structural engineering (M.S. preferred) and an NY PE license. • Bring 10+ years of bridge design and management experience. • Expertise in AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and Federal‑Aid delivery processes. • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
