About the Role

Based in Houston, TX, the Buyer role (I, II, or Senior) is part of a forward‑thinking supply‑chain team that drives large‑scale energy and infrastructure projects. The position involves managing the procurement lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiating to delivering critical materials and equipment—to keep projects on schedule and within budget. • Source, negotiate, and procure key project materials and equipment. • Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, compliance, and performance. • Coordinate logistics to deliver materials on time and within budget. • Act as liaison between internal teams and suppliers, providing clear communication. • Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies such as alternate sourcing. • Utilize ERP systems to track data, monitor inventory, and ensure accuracy. • Resolve supplier or delivery issues to maintain project momentum. • Lead high‑value negotiations, mentor junior buyers, and shape sourcing strategies (Senior Buyer). • Conduct RFx processes, perform cost analysis, and review supplier performance. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with project management, planning, and quality teams.

What You Bring

Qualifications vary by level: Buyer I requires 0–5 years, Buyer II 5–10 years, and Senior Buyer 10+ years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, together with a bachelor's degree in a related field. Professional certifications such as APICS, CPP, CPIM, or CSCP are preferred. Successful candidates demonstrate strong Microsoft Office and ERP (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.) skills, excellent communication, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Travel up to 25 % of the time is required, and a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
